getting my good cheer on
Hello, you darlings – I’ve missed you terribly.
Since we last spoke, the days have shortened and the nights have acquired a fierce bite. My knuckles are red and roughened from night-time bike rides without mittens.
To stay warm and cheery I’ve been winter woollening.
And enjoying quick afternoon cuppas in the company of timeless beauties.
And reinstating correspondence hour, like every cultivated lady should.
Did I mention I’ve missed you? I’ll be back tomorrow — I can’t wait.
I love the idea of “correspondence hour!” Fabulous!
Any excuse to arm myself with even more paper and fine-tipped pens and sealing wax…. (:
Hooray! Was just thinking of you when I posted yesterday actually, not to be creepy or anything. :)
That’s lovely. (:
Yes, I think I’ve missed you too.
You still write real letters? Aw, you’re a girl after my own heart! I wish more people would…
I love the way you can’t help but express yourself differently in ink — it carries more weight, yet at the same time it’s more fanciful. And I have to admit it’s a bit selfish…I write letters in part to receive them back! There’s nothing like handwritten words from a far-off land to turn your day around. (:
Your blog was rather a delight to happen upon- like a warm living room couch with a fire. You managed a cozy atmosphere on a blog. Wonderful.
I’m so glad to hear that! Thanks for helping to contribute to the coziness. (:
