of summer incarnate
I’m a tropical fruit fiend. Living in the Netherlands.
Add to that my preference for local produce and you understand why I’m in constant mourning for the buttery mango, lime-drenched papaya, and quirky fruits like rambutan that I took for granted when I lived in Indonesia.
But.
A mosey through the farmer’s market revives me from my moping. It always does. I wind my way through the crowds to my favorite produce stand, where a chic bespectacled lady with a white chignon takes my coins in return for apricots, peaches, and strawberries. I love these juicy bites of summer incarnate.
What delicious treat is in season where you live?
lovely photos with lovely angles
Thank you!

Golden, too?
Gorgeous pics. You know what I miss from Indonesia? Mangosteens – I’d love one of those right about now. :)
Roger that! (: We call them “manggis” and they are always a huge treat!
oooh, I love the insider scoop on what to call them – thanks!
